Prefer maintained device pages
Use official project device lists and installation pages. Confirm maintainer status, latest build date, known issues, required firmware and whether updates are delivered OTA.
Do not treat an old forum attachment or reuploaded file as equivalent to an official release.
Verify packages
Download from the project’s official infrastructure. Compare published checksums or signatures, record the filename and version, and keep the installer instructions offline.
Optional packages such as Google apps, root tools or custom kernels must match the ROM and Android version. Install only what the guide explicitly supports.

Check calls, SMS, mobile data, VoLTE/VoWiFi, cameras, biometrics, NFC, Bluetooth, encryption, charging, emergency calling and update behavior before using the ROM as a primary phone.
